Let me sing you a waltz
Out of nowhere, out of my thoughts

/Genting
Took a sleeper bus to Genting on 18th night and I was kept
awake 1/3 of the time because Nic couldn't sleep and the bus
was too cold! So I thought, "Maybe the driver wants to let us
have a taste of what the weather in Genting'll be like." Wrong-o!

The weather was just purr-fect! Like, literally. I could purr like
a cat with a mouthful of canary (if it is required of me), to show
how much I loved the weather. It was a little wet on the 2nd day
and a little too warm for my liking on the 3rd, but hey! I could look
past ALL of that. What the weather lacked, the company, themepark
and Kenny Rogers made up! (:

My complain now is that it's TOO HOT here in Singapore.

So, in every thing that happens, there's always the 'Ups & Downs'.
The downs are what I'd usually call, a kill joy. What started out as a
happy vacation soon turned out to be...well, I wouldn't say'disastrous'..
disappointing would better sum up how I feel.

Our first disappointment smite us in the butt an hour upon arriving
and the others spread out over the 4 days we were there and back.

  1. The skyway cable car was down for maintenance.
Hence, I couldn't get my 'Herbal tea egg' at the other station.
  2. The 'not for the faint hearted' haunted house was beyond pathetic!
  3. A kleptomaniac made away w our camera pouch and 2 memory cards.
  4. The themepark called it a day at 7pm (because it was off-peak season)!?
  5. My phone, together w my memory card 'crumpled' before my eyes,
    in a metaphorical manner.

It all happened in a flash. I didn't have time to go on a 'saving spree'
or make a backup of anything. The motif theme on my phone changed
into a basic theme and I was prompted to 'insert memory card'.

The minutes that followed was a good couple of frantic attempts to
resuscitate my unconscious phone. My effort paid off as the phone
bounced back to life, only to die on me again.

Then it 'miraculously' came on again, but ALL my data were wiped out.
Leaving me with information I deleted over the course of the past 3 years
and the last dialled numbers were dated back to 2004. I felt like I travelled
through a time portal. Let's not even talk about my jumbled up emotions.

Both the phone and the memory card are deemed useless now.

Just like that.

It was good while it lasted.

  1. We caught Pirates of the Carribeans 2 in Genting for a mere $5.50!
  2. I found more than one reason to go up to Kualar Lumpur!
  3. I got this beauty in replacement of the old phone.

Oh I love, love, love it. Flip and snap. Repeat. Y

Along with this phone, comes a new number. With numbers gone
when my phone crashed, it's up to you to text me now so I can have
copy of your number. (Old line still open. For now.)

I was ready to surrender to the wrath of Lady Luck when I encountered
problems, even with the new phone. I spent ONE day with it and off it
goes to the care centre the very NEXT day. CAN YOU BELIEVE MY
LUCK!?! It's only the 3rd day my phone and I are apart and already
I feel emotionally shredded.

Nickygoofygoober will be collecting and delivering the phone to me
tomorrow. Please, please, please, I pray Nokia has no bad news for me.

Everything has been abrasive and trivial and collectively, that makes me
want to hurl, and cry, and hiss at anyone who comes near me.

As of today, things took a turn and it seems Lady Luck is in favour of
the wretched child she turned her back on the past few days. I'm not
complaining, particularly not when I'm being showered with good luck.

Next weekend we're having a short getaway to Batam and if my dad
gives me enough cash we can have a bash on August 13 and thereafter,
head down to Kualar Lumpur for the themepark in the mall!!!

Weee!!! Everything seems brighter yes, especially the meeting with some
of the girls today! Prata was good, conversation flowed, we had our cake
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAZEL!

One event after another. It's getting all too exciting. :D
